If you have any form of voluntary insurance or collateral associated with the loan for which you want to skip a payment, make sure that your choice to skip does not affect your coverage (examples, but are not limited: Credit Life, Credit Disability, GAP and/or vehicle guarantee associated with your loan – not manufacturer or other guarantee). Some companies that offer these insurance or guarantee services limit the number of extensions for covered credits that may include voluntary ski payments. These products are provided by third-party companies and not by the Credit Union, so you should ask any questions to these companies and check the policies/contracts they have issued to you. I would like to skip my SRP Federal Credit Union (SRP FCU) for the qualified loan I selected. I know a $25 fee will be charged to my skip-A-Pay transfer or savings account.
